Full safety training provided, which will include the use of life jackets, the fire blanket, fire extinguishers, first aid kit and the life belt. Dog life jackets are available on request. Also the location of safety signage and potential hazards.
An Inland Waterways Helmsman Instructor will spend a minimum of one hour with you. We will explain how everything works on the boat and the boat handling techniques. We want you to feel happy and confident. There is no rush, we have all the time in the world to help and assist you.

Yes, skippered boat hire is available from 10.00am until 4.00pm at a cost of £15 per hour.
Please respect other boaters, excessive speed is always a source of concern. If you are asked to slow down, you are going too fast. As a guide, you can use the rev counter on the boats. On Grand Cru set the revs at 10.000 when passing moored boat and 14000 rev for cruising. On Premier Cru 14000 revs and 18000 revs.
Grand Cru sleeps six, two cabins with double beds, plus two single sofa beds in the living area. Premier Cru also sleeps six, one double cabin, one cabin with two single beds and two sofa beds in the living area.
Non-slip shoes, sun cream, if in an optimistic mood, waterproof jackets and hat, mobile phone chargers. You may bring other electrical appliances but please check with us first. There is a collection of books, DVDs, CDs and games onboard, you are welcome to bring more. Everything else is provided, just bring lots of food and drink.
You will be provided enough diesel and gas for your trip, but you will need to top up with water every other day. The water points are marked on the map.
We highly recommend you purchase travel and cancellation insurance..
Pets are welcome at no extra charge. However, we do ask you to keep them off the furniture and the bedding please.
The boat is equipped with a digital radio, freeview TV, 300 watt surround sound system, DVD and CD player. You will be able to connect your phone to the sound system.
Up to four Bicycles can be stored on the roof of the boat, at no extra charge (at own risk)

You can moor anywhere you like on the towpath side of the canal except: where you see a sign. 'private mooring', moorings reserved for lock or swing bridge use, turning points (winding holes),water points, and between locks that are very close to each other. If you are on the river always moor towards the flow of water.
